For years, some road projects across Ilorin existed more prominently in public conversations and campaign promises.

The Osin–Laduba Road is one of such examples a road whose rehabilitation had featured in political conversations for years before the intervention undertaken by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

One particularly interesting development has been the increasing use of interlocking paving for neighbourhood and community roads.
