KWACCIMA Plans Trade Mission To USA, Malaysia

The Kwara Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mining and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) has announced its plan to embark on trade mission to United Kingdom, United States of America and Malaysia with the view of attracting investors.

KWACCIMA President, Barr Ronke Adeyemi disclosed this on Thursday at second quarter general meeting held at its Secretariat in Ilorin.

She said the proposed trade missions from August-November 2024 will help the Chamber to project business opportunities in Kwara State to investors outside the country.

Adeyemi said Kwara Business Award will hold on July 5 at Government Banquet Hall, Ilorin, noted that the event aimed at recognition companies adding value to the State economy.

While highlighting her administration achievements, the President listed renovation of KWACCIMA Secretariat Building, intervention in tax dispute between Kwara Igbo Association and Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, establishment of Multipurpose Cooperative Society and increment of staff salaries.

She urged members to participate actively in the Chamber activities and pay annual dues, adding that the Annual General Meeting is slated to hold in September 2024.

In his remarks, Vice President Agriculture said KWACCIMA would commence Agro half hour on Royal FM to promote agribusiness in the state.

He said the chamber will provide farm implements and other support to encourage members in farming, hinting that the committee is recommending introduction of Friday Farm Market at KWACCIMA House to help members sell their farm produces.
