Kwara APC: We Can’t Return to Opposition, Adeyemi Reacts
The Kwara South Senatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, has reaffirmed his commitment to the ruling party, declaring that he remains a loyal APC member despite the outcome of the party’s primary election.
Balogun made the declaration during a strategic meeting of the ENACT Family, a coalition of support groups backing his senatorial ambition, held on Saturday at his residence in Irewolede, Ilorin.
Addressing supporters, the APC chieftain expressed appreciation for their steadfast loyalty, resilience, and unwavering support throughout his political journey.
Just Event Online TV reports that He also thanked Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for nominating him as the North Central representative on the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Board, noting that the appointment provided the platform for his contributions to the state’s development.
According to Balogun, he has facilitated more than 60 federal employment opportunities for qualified Kwarans since assuming office at TETFund.
He further disclosed that he has attracted over ₦14 billion worth of intervention projects to tertiary institutions across Kwara State through the agency.
Speaking on the outcome of the APC primary and his next political steps, Balogun maintained that the party remains supreme and pledged to abide by its decisions.
He urged his supporters to remain calm and law-abiding while awaiting the conclusion of all post-primary processes.
“We cannot afford to return to the opposition. We must remain united and prepare to work for the APC, just as we did in the 2019 and 2023 elections,” he said.
The meeting, attended by members of the ENACT support groups, focused on strengthening party unity and mobilising supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
