Speaking on the anti-corruption stance of President Muhammadu Buhari, the governor said: “When there was a lot of money in the country it was mismanaged but when baba came in, he became an effective manager of poverty.

“If baba was not in power, it would have been a sorry state because I don’t think the people who were there would have been able to manage the situation as it is today because they were all just thinking about lining their pockets.

“One thing that you have to note is that no one has accused baba of stealing money. That’s where it starts from,” AbdulRazaq noted.

With respect to Kwara state, the governor appreciated the efforts of President Buhari in the spheres of agriculture, infrastructure, security, and economic bailout.

AbdulRazaq explained that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the president ensured that all states were assisted.

“Even as it is now, we are getting vaccines free of charge. COVID-19 testing is free of charge. We have to applaud his effort,” he said.

He also appreciated president Buhari’s efforts in tackling insecurity, noting that through the support of the Federal Government, the state has set up a community policing mechanism to help combat crime in the state.

“The president has been doing exceedingly well. He doesn’t talk that’s why people are pulling him down; we won’t allow that. We are not going to sit around and watch people denigrate the leader of the country,” AbdulRazaq said.
