Kwara Rising Politician Monsurat Yusuf Thanks Tinubu, AbdulRazaq Over PCC Appointment
Kwara’s rising politician, Monsurat Kehinde Yusuf has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and other political leaders following her appointment as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
In a statement expressing appreciation for the appointment, Monsurat described the recognition as an honour that comes with greater responsibility and an opportunity to contribute to the party’s political activities and national development.
She commended President Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to building a greater Nigeria, while acknowledging Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership and efforts towards the development of Kwara State.
Monsurat also credited key figures and organisations for their roles in her political journey, particularly Hon. Mariam Gwazo, whose support and recommendation she said contributed significantly to the appointment.
She thanked Hon. Stella Okotete, founder of the Progressive Young Women Forum, for creating a platform that promotes women’s participation in national development. She also expressed appreciation to the forum’s executives and members for their encouragement and solidarity.
The PCC member further acknowledged Kwara Must Change (KMC), a pro-democracy advocacy group, for its guidance, capacity building efforts and continued support.

She reserved special appreciation for her mentor, Hon. Abdul Malik Bashir Mopelola Risikatullahi, former Commissioner for Women Affairs and immediate past Commissioner for Water Resources in Kwara State, whose mentorship and motherly support she described as invaluable to her political development.
Monsurat pledged to justify the confidence reposed in her through dedication, loyalty and meaningful contributions to the party’s objectives.
She described the appointment as a call to greater service and responsibility, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to her political journey.
