Minimum Wage: NLC Earmarks N3000 Per meal, N110,000 Transport Allowance

Amidst the ongoing negotiation of new minimum wage, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has insisted on N613,000 monthly wage for workers in the country.

NLC President, Joe Ajaero in a statement issued on Thursday said the labour demand for N613,000 minimum wage was inline with market and socio-economic reality.

According to him, the proposal was based on nationwide consultation with labour unions.

In a document cited by FactualTimes, the labour earmarked N90,000 (#3000 per meal) and N110,000 for transportation.
