Postponement: Oshiomhole’s Is Right, Says Kwara Presidential Campaign Council
Kayode Abdulazeez, Ilorin
All progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Kwara state has applauded its party’s National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s blunt condemnation of general elections postponement by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The APC Presidential Campaign Council in a statement issued on Sunday in Ilorin by it’s Director General, Ambassador Nurudeen Mohammed exonerated the presidency and APC for eleventh hour shift of the polls.
The statement however called on electorates and supporters of the party in Kwara not to be discouraged by the postponement and to see it as extra opportunity for them to intensify their canvassing for president Muhammed Buhari and all APC candidates to come victorious with wide margin of votes.
The council also empathized with kwarans and other Nigerians for the inconveniences the shift in election date might have caused them, noting that ‘no sacrifice is too much to take their beloved Country to NEXT LEVEL’.
They therefore charged kwarans to remain resolute and firm in their bid to enthrone new political order by supporting APC in all polls.
The statement read in part:
”We urge our party members and supporters to intensify sensitisation of electorates ahead of next week Presidential and National Assembly.
”Although, open campaign has ended, our interaction with Kwarans will continue in order to ensure APC’s landslide victory.”
