Prof Abubakar Sulaiman Hosts NILDS To Iftar in Abuja 

The Director General National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Sulaiman has urged management and staff to be patriotic by praying for the nation to overcome her teething challenges of nationhood.

Professor Sulaiman gave the charge on Monday 24th March 2025 at this year’s joint Ramadan Iftar and the breaking of the Lenten held at NILDS permanent site Abuja.

He said the country is in dire need of the citizen’s prayers and appealed to them to distance themselves from bad elements who formed unpatriotic habits of raining curses on the country.

The former Minister of National Planning expressed optimism in the efficacy of prayer to change the negative narrative to positive ones about the country by praying fervently for leaders at all levels especially in this holy month of Ramadan and Lenten period.

While appreciating all categories of staff for their dedication and commitment to duty he urged them to shun unethical conducts such as pull- him- down syndrome which is capable of derailing career progression and promotion of fellow colleagues.

The Director General besieged the management and staff to Almighty Allah for guidance and protection as well as prayed for their good health for them to collectively raise the bar of service towards taking NILDS to greater heights.
