Prominent Personalities To Grace Informant247 Merit Award
Prominent Personalities from all different sectors are expected to grace the premiere of the first-ever documentary on the exploits of Ilorin indigenes in the legal profession and Media Banquet organized by The Informant247, an independent online newspaper headquartered in Ilorin, Nigeria.
One of the editors of the platform disclosed this on Thursday while featuring on Sobi FM live interview program in Ilorin.
Yemi Sodeeq explained that the Media Outfit is hosting the Media Banquet to celebrate prominent Personalities and professional who are adding value to the society.
The editor said the event will hold at the Maryam Hall, Monarch Hotel in Ilorin on Friday, January 20, 2023.
He described the documentary on exploits of Ilorin born legal practitioners as part of efforts to archive the history of our host community – Ilorin.
“Apart from giving awards to Prominent Personalities, organizations and government MDAs on Friday. We’ll premiere a documentary on the accomplishments of Ilorin indigenes and members of the NBA Ilorin Branch in the noble field of law. This documentary will serve as a tribute to the hard work and dedication of great individuals in the profession, and highlight the important contributions they have made.”
He said the documentary featured several prominent lawyers including seven Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN) – tells the stories and impacts of the first lawyer from the whole of northern Nigeria, Late AGF Abdulrazaq; the first northerner to sit on the Federal bench in 1973, Late Justice Mahmud Belgore, Late Honourable Justice Saidu Kawu,Late Justice Mustapha Akanbi,Justice Alfa Modibo Belgore and the current Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR.
