… Speaks on N50billion Investments in Kwara South

The Deputy Senate Leader and  Senator representing Kwara South, Arc Oyelola Ashiru has declared that prosperity must reach every corner of Kwara State.

Senator Ashiru disclosed this on Thursday while declaring his Kwara 2027 governorship bid at Arch Santa Arena, Ilorin on Thursday.

He also unveiled his manifesto tagged “My Kwara Covenant (A Blueprint for Inclusive Governance, Shared Prosperity & Generational Renewal)”.

His words: “I have spent enough years in public life to know that manifestos are easy to write and hard to keep. The promises come readily; the follow-through is what separates a politician from a public servant. This document is not a collection of promises. It is a covenant — a binding commitment to the people of Kwara, written in full knowledge of what is failing, what is possible, and what it will take to close the distance between the two.

“I am declaring my aspiration for Governor of Kwara State because I believe Kwara’s time has come — not as a slogan, but as a statement of fact. The constitutional reforms are in place.”

The Offa born Politician noted that the foundation has been built, hence the next Governor should come with the experience, the plan and the relationships to start delivering from day one.

According to him, Every one of them deserves better. Every one of them is capable of more. And every one of them has given enough — it is time for prosperity to reach every corner of the state. I am not here to manage Kwara. I am not here to preside over it.

He promised to tackle insecurity that is ravaging rural communities where armed groups terrorise locals by burning farms, displacing families, and disrupting livelihoods.

Senator Ashiru promised to harness  extraordinary potential of the state which is the bridge linking Nigeria’s agricultural and mineral north to its commercial and industrial south.

While highlighting his achievements in the Senate, the Deputy Senate Leader said he facilitated over ₦50 billion in constituency investments spanning vocational centres, classrooms, health facilities, transformers, boreholes, roads, and solar infrastructure.
