Senator Mustapha Presents Full Scholarship To 200 Tertiary Institution Students

In his bid to support indigene parents, Senator representing Kwara South, Mallam Saliu Mustapha on Friday formally presented full scholarship to 200 students in higher institutions.
Senator Saliu Mustapha while speaking during the inauguration of scholarship at Peace Hall, Ilorin said benefiting students were drawn from four local government areas in Kwara Central.
He said the scholarship will cover students from their first year to final year, noting that tuition fees of some beneficiaries has been paid.

His words: “Education is the best form of empowerment you can give to an individual. By doing so, you not only reduce social vices but also strengthen and uplift your society, I feel great standing in your midst today
“I am meeting these 200 students for the first time. I believe in education, which is why I am investing in them. They do not belong to any political party; their only goal is to achieve success in life, and we have already begun showing them the way.
“God willing, by 2025, we will roll out WAEC, NECO, and JAMB scholarships for another set of students. I urge parents and guardians to strongly encourage their wards to study hard so they can succeed”

The Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem hailed Senator Mustapha for investing in future of beneficiaries through the scholarship.
The former University of Ilorin Vice Chancellor noted that the scheme would reduce financial burden from parents. He implored the students to reciprocate by making the Senator proud in their studies.
The National President Ilorin Emirate Development Progressive Union (IEDPU), Rtd ACG AbdulMalik Abdulmumin, Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Dr Abubakar Atolagbe Jos, Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr Muhammad Bashir Solihu and other dignitaries attended the event.
