Senator Oyelola Ashiru’s Modest Achievements in Isin LG

Kwara South Senatorial district has highest number of local government areas-Seven in Kwara State. Kwara Central has four local government areas while Kwara North comprises five local councils. It’s therefore imperative to ensure every local government in the district get fair share of democratic dividends.

To this end, Isin local government has attracted some projects from federal government through Senator Oyelola Ashiru. These projects are based on community requests/ NEEDS assessment carried out during electioneering campaign. The projects are also serving benefiting communities and residents.

In Iji-Isin, solar powered borehole was installed to address issue of water scarcity and now residents are enjoying portable water. The stress of trekking long distance every morning to get water has been eliminated while water borne diseases no longer challenge health of Constituents living in the community.

Similarly, Senator Ashiru installed street lights in Isanlu-isin to improve security and protect residents from danger. Installation of street lights also helped businesses, especially traders to extend their operations timing.

In order to complement Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration’s drive to improve health sector in Kwara State, the Senator provided some equipment and drugs to Isanlu-isin Primary Health Centre.

Apart from that, Senator Ashiru constructed
Vocational Training Center in Oke-onigbin with the view of equipping the youth, women and others in different skills to make them self reliant and employers of labour- not job seekers. It’s worthy of note that the Senator is working with experts to ensure interested residents get world class training at the Vocational Centers across Kwara South.

Similarly, he provided cash support for widows, aged and vulnerable women drawn from all wards in Isin local government to energize their businesses.

Besides, some farmers in the local government recently received free fertilizers and other farm inputs to boost food security inline with Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

Senator Ashiru in different fora across the massive support Kwara Southerners gave him during his reelection in 2023 and he is willing to reciprocate the kind gesture by consolidating on first term achievements. People of Isin local government like other councils in the district would witness more development starting from 2024 and beyond.
