Shagaya Youth Forum Grants 300 Students Scholarship, Distributes Study Materials

The Muktar Shagaya Youth Forum under the aegis of Muktar Shagaya Campaign Organization has distributed over 300 scholarships with writing and reading materials to students in Ilorin west local government area held at the Muktar Shagaya Campaign Office, Opposite Nimatoni, Yidi Road, Ilorin.

Speaking on behalf of the All Progressives Candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Muktar Tolani Shagaya at the event, the Director General of the movement, Alhaji Muftau Akanbi Oke, encouraged the beneficiaries students to judiciously utilise the kind gesture and be part of nation building.

“The scheme was to assist the indigent students in junior and senior secondary schools as the gesture was part of our efforts to contribute to the educational development of our constituency and state in general. The education support drive is to help reduce the burden of education on the parents and also ensure that no child is denied access to quality education.”

Commending the philanthropic gesture, teachers and parents present appreciated the group and especially, Mallam Muktar Shagaya, for leading by example. The scheme of this kind is coming at the right time when our children are just returning to school and it’s mandatory of every parent to strive hard and ensure some of these basic needs are provided for them.
