Supreme Court Verdict: Kano PDP Loyalists Go Spiritual, Declare Fasting Ahead of Ruling

Members of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Kwankwasiyya group in Kano have declared voluntary fasting and prayers ahead of the Supreme Court ruling on Monday over the outcome of Kano gubernatorial polls between Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the PDP candidate Abba Kabiru Yusuf .

Confirming the development to Cool fm via telephone this evening, spokesman of the PDP candidate, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said the members voluntarily embarked on the spiritual task to pray to Almighty Allah to make the Apex Court pronouncement in their favour.

According to him, the group had earlier last week Monday also observed the fasting and prayers with the hope that the case would be decided on the same day before it was later adjourned.

Meanwhile, Kano atmosphere is relatively calm at the moment as residents are going about their usual weekend activities and there are free flow of traffic with little or no security presence in most of the strategic roads within the metropolis.
