Tinubu Administration @1: Nigeria Has Witnessed Policy Strides in Various Sectors – SGF

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume has stated that President Bola Tinubu administration has witnessed policy strides in various sectors.

SGF Akume disclosed this on Wednesday at a special edition of our Ministerial Press Briefing Series in Abuja, to mark the 1st Year Anniversary of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

His words: “I make bold to say that, Nigeria, under its present stewardship, has witnessed significant policy strides in various sectors including but not limited to.

“The Presidential accent to the 2023 Electricity Bill, a move that dismantled monopolistic control over electricity generation, transmission and distribution at the national level and granted authority to State Governments, Corporations and individuals to generate, distribute and transmit electricity, thus decentralizing the power sector; Accent to the passage into law of the Nigeria Data Protection Bill 2023 that established a legal framework for safeguarding personal information and promoting data protection practices in Nigeria”

He added that the country has witnessed significant strides in various sectors of economy in the last one year.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris said the Anniversary will be low-key, in line with the Tinubu’s administration to be efficient and judicious in the use of public resources.

According to the Minister, We will instead focus on sectoral press engagements featuring Cabinet Ministers, providing information to Nigerians in an honest, timely, and consistent manner.
