Tinubu, Akpabio, Makinde Attend Wike’s Thanksgiving Service

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State attended Family Thanksgiving service of Former Governor Nyesom Wike.

Tinubu represented by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu joined other dignitaries to celebrate successful completion of Nyesom Wike’s two terms as Rivers State Governor.

The service held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Rumuepirikom Deanery, Port harcourt gives Wike, his wife and family to appreciate God for his faithful during eight years of serving as Governor.

The people also use the opportunity to celebrate Wike’s impact, dedication and service to Rivers state which has become reference point as well as inspiration to many leaders across the country.

Former Governor Wike while at the event revealed that there was a gang-up in his party at the national level to arrest him if his decisions had failed adding that at some points his loyalists were scared that they would all be in trouble.
He said all the governorship aspirants signed an agreement drafted by the party elders that they would support the choice of the party for the governorship poll.
However, Wike noted, “When somebody was chosen, there was a gang-up. They moved to Abuja and started plotting how they would arrest me after winning at the centre. All evil plots against me failed.
