Tinubu Meets Akpabio Ahead of 10th Senate Inauguration

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday met All Progressives Congress (APC) preferred Senate President aspirant, Senator Godswill Akpabio ahead of 10th National Assembly inauguration.

Tinubu received Akpabio alongside outgoing Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

The Chief of Staff to President and Speaker of 9th House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma also attended the brief meeting.

The President is expected to personally read the proclamation letter of the 10th National Assembly on Tuesday.

Senator Godswill Akpabio is a one time Senate Minority leader, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and two term Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

Recall that APC endorsed Akpabio for Senate President and Senator Jibrin Barau as Deputy Senate President.
