Twitter Suspension: Saraki Calls For Review, Atiku Mocks Buhari

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and immediate past Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki have reacted to suspension of microblogging site, Twitter operations by Buhari led administration.

Atiku Abubakar in a swift reaction posted on twitter after announcement of the suspension by federal government said ‘I hope this won’t be my last? #smiles”

In his response, Saraki called for review of the decision announced by Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed on Friday.

“No sir! This should not be the response from the president of a nation with a vibrant youthful population for whom #Twitter is part of their daily lives and a source of their income and livelihood. This must be reviewed.” Saraki explained

Recall that twitter management deleted Buhari’s comment about civil war on Tuesday.
