Why I Won’t Disappoint My Constituents – Shagaya

The Member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency in House of Representatives, Hon Muktar Tolani Shagaya has promised not to disappoint his Constituency and Constituents.
Shagaya gave this commitment in a chat with newsmen at his Ilorin Residence recently.
The Federal Lawmaker hinted that he is always working towards facilitating impactful projects and programmes to impact his Constituents positively.
His words: “I am from Shagaya family. It’s a reputable family with track record of excellence service to the country and community. I would continue to do my best to protect this name because I don’t want to disappoint my family and Constituents.
“The people of Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency gave me their mandate during 2023 general elections. It’s therefore imperative to fulfill our campaign promises and deliver dividends of democracy to my people. We have started on a good note and 2024 will come with a lot of impactful projects/programmes.”
Shagaya, the Vice Chairman House Committee on Basic Education while speaking on UBEC Bill amendment said the intention is to make more funds available for development of schools across the country.
According to him, the bill when passed will provide funds for rehabilitation of dilapidated schools and construction of new schools or classrooms. During Basic Education Committee Oversight tour, we discovered a lot of things need to be done at primary education level. The amendment of UBEC Bill is necessary.
