KWHA Speaker: No Division in Kwara North, CKNG Berates Muhammed Kudu For Misleading Kwarans

Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG) has insisted that Kwara North people are working together to ensure APC zone Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker to their district.

The group in a statement issued by its Chairman, Comrade Musa Idris however berated Mr Muhammad Kudu of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Campaign Organization (AACO) for misleading kwarans on issue of speakership.

The group said: ”The attention of Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG) has been drawn to a news publication via the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), attributed to one Mr Muhammad Kudu of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Campaign Organization (AACO), stating that Kwara North has no objection to Saheed Popoola speakership ambition for Kwara State House of Assembly.

”CKNG want to, on behalf of the good and patriotic people of Kwara North, categorically state that the said opinion by Mr Kudu in its entirety is false, baseless and does not any way represent the view or the position of the people of Kwara North or any group from the Senatorial District.

”Rather, the position of Mr Muhammad kudu is his personal opinion and that of his co-travellers, who in a desperate move to satisfy their personal interests will not mind going to any length, to the extent of trading what rightly belongs to the people of Kwara North for their selfish interests, even if such move will portray them as treacherous and traitors among the people of kwara North.”

Comrade Idris emphasized that Mr kudu and his cohorts should understand that the interest of the people of Kwara North is far and above their parochial, selfish and greedy interests which blinded their common sense of reasoning that; the position of Speakership and that of the Secretary to State Government is automatically for the people Kwara North, based on the need to balance power through the principle of justice, equity and fairness.

”Or do they want to be schooled on the histories of how first timers became speakers of the House of Assembly and heavens did not fall? Or if, per chance all Members Elected have no returning one, will there not be Speaker in the 9th House of Assembly? He queried.

CKNG therefore urged well people of Kwara North to call Mr Kudu and his paymasters to order, to avoid making comments capable of misrepresenting the positions and interests of the people of Kwara North for whatever reasons.

According to him, to set the records straight, CKNG is ready for a showdown with any Kwara Northerner, no matter how highly placed such is; that works or trade the interest of Kwara North for pettiness.This is the reason, CKNG adopts an unusual style of press statement to sound a warning to those that place personal interest above general interest. We shall reward patriotism with a Book Of Fame, while rewarding betrayal, egoism and inimical interests with a Book of Shame.”

The Coalition of Kwara North Groups however commended the people of good conscience from Kwara Central and the South on their strong and sincere stance for Kwara North, and call for (APC) party to uphold and respect the principle of justice, equity and fairness.

Similarly, we urge them to regard the statement from Mr Kudu as a figment of an imagination coming from a desperate and overambitious politician who deserves no serious attention.
