Moro LG Chairperson Distributes Fertilizer, Agrochemicals, Other Farm Inputs

As part of the government’s efforts to boost farming at the grassroots and ensure food security, Moro Local Government Chairperson, Hajiya Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo, has commenced the distribution of fertilizer and other essential agricultural inputs across Moro local government.

Represented by Vice Chairman, Alhaji AbdulRazak Suleiman Adaara, the Chairperson flagged off the initiative at the Local Government Secretariat, Bode-Saadu.

She commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s unwavering commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring food security.

Hajiya Mariam pledged to ensure genuine farmers benefit from the initiative which is aimed at combating hunger and poverty. She also encouraged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the farm inputs, so as to ensure the desired result.

The flag-off was attended by the state coordinator of the programme, Mallam Usman; Moro Local Government Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adelodun Ramat; Local Government DPM; HOD Agriculture; and other senior staff.
