Nigeria’s Govt Honors Kwara Must Change
A leading Pro Democracy group, Kwara Must Change has been honoured with exceptional youth award by the Kwara State government.
In appreciation of the contributing of group towards strengthening democracy in Kwara State, the office of Senior Special Assistant on Youth Engagement to honored at the National Youth Day celebration in Ilorin.
The state government said the award was given to KMC for it’s role in leading advocate for change and advancement of Human Rights in Kwara State.
Reacting, the Convener of Kwara Must Change, AbdulRazaq Hamzat stated that, democracy will only produce the right result, if all those who have something to offer do so genuinely with good intentions, without expecting praise or reward, noting that, those who work for the love of humanity are the reason for human growth and development.
Hamzat appreciated the state government for finding the group worthy of the award and thanked general public for their support towards the group.
He further restated the group’s commitment to good governance and human rights, adding that it would continue to advocate to ensure
dividends of democracy get to the citizens and also put all the elected and appointed office holders on their toes to act in the best interest of the people.
