Offa APC Stakeholders Call For Suspension of Adegboye, Write Gov Abdulrazaq
Stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Offa local government have called for suspension of Party Chairman and Secretary; Kunle Adegboye and Secretary Rasheed Banwo respectively.
They made this call after passing vote no confidence on Adegboye for mismanagement of donations and causing disharmony.
Concerned APC members from Offa Local Government, comprising 20 representatives from each ward submitted a petition to Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, and Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi on Monday.
The petition, titled “Attention on Party Issues: Before It’s Too Late,” alleges nefarious activities by Kunle Adegboye and Secretary Rasheed Banwo, questioning their transparency and integrity.
The petition demands investigation into the secretariat rent and donations made by stakeholders over the past three years. It accuses Kunle Adegboye and Rasheed Banwo of privatizing party activities, sidelining other executives in decision-making.
Recall that Kunle Adegboye reportedly locked Party Secretariat against elected House of Assembly members from Offa to host Stakeholders meeting last week. The situation has continued to generate political tension within the ruling APC.
