Olivet Alumni Holds Physical Fitness Exercise In Ibadan

The Alumni of Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo, have been advised to develop the habit of engaging in fitness walk regularly to avert health challenges.

The National President of the Association, Dr. Wale Okediran , gave the advice on Saturday in Ibadan at the Second Edition of Physical Fitness Exercise of Ibadan Chapter, tagged” Walk for Life”
He harped on the need for members not to make the fitness walk an annual event, but create time for such activity considering its benefits.

While congratulating the chapter for the initiative, Dr. Okediran, admonished members to support the association with the prompt payment of levies.
He said :“I want to congratulate the Ibadan chapter for this wonderful event, I also thank those who contributed to the success of the programme , everybody has done very well”

“On Personal health, this should not be an annual event, those of us who live in estates where there is no fear of Okada riders, if possible, we can do it once a week, may be the compound of our houses, you can do it every weekend, some of us do it every day because we know the valve of taking a warm” “From medical statistics, 30 minutes of a warm per day is enough to take care of health problems, don’t let us stop today, let’s make it a habit”

“Olivet is ready for annual convention, scheduled for November 2023, please, support the association with the payment of National, Chapter and individual’s levies”

The Chairperson, Old Students Association, Olivet Baptist High School, Ibadan Chapter, Alhaja Temitope Kolawole, attributed the success of the fitness walk to self-determination exhibited by members and their love for the association.

She thanked the 2023 physical fitness exercise committee and members of the chapter for their support and cooperation, which, according to her, responsible for the progress of the Ibadan chapter.

The old students of the school who took part in the fitness walk include the Oyo state Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni , Mni , the Chairman, Oyo State Internal Revenue, Hon. Femi Awakan and a host of others.
