Oyo Govt Conducts CBT Exams for 5,300 Students Seeking Admission Into Science Schools

Oyo State Government, on Saturday, conducted the 2023 Competitive Entrance Examination for Five Thousand, Three Hundred (5,300) candidates seeking admission into the Seven Science Schools across the state.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Salihu Abdulwaheed, who monitored the computer-based exercise in three Centres in Ibadan metropolis, namely: The Polytechnic Ibadan CBT Centre,Atanda CBT Centre,Ring road,Ibadan and Yinbol College CBT Center, Orogun, Ibadan, explained that the process was geared towards enhancing a qualitative educational system in the state.

He explained that the Examination was hitch free in all the Computer-Based Test Centres in the State.

The Commissioner, expressed happiness at the turnout of candidates, while he equally commended the parents and guardians for their promptness.
He said: “In all the three centers that have been monitored, the students and centers are doing wonderfully well.A Although there is still room for improvement. The ministry is equally looking forward to having one or two Accredited Computer Base Exams Centers so that the Ministry could be conducting exams of this nature for our students and other agencies that may want to do the kind of this exam in the near future.

“The turn-out was very okay at those designated examination centers.

“I also commended the students for comporting themselves; some of them obeyed and complied with the rules and regulations of the examination.

Speaking on behalf of the Parents, Mr. Olapade Hamzat, expressed his delight over the exercise, saying that the examination was free and fair.

He commended the Oyo state government for conducting an examination that is devoid of malpractices, adding that the process adopted will afford their Children qualitative education.

“The examination was free and fair, everything was well organized. There wasn’t any favoritism that can jeopardize this examination; I scored this examination excellent.

” I appreciate the Oyo state government for coming up with this kind of examination that will afford our students a qualitative education.

The examination was monitored alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Adeniyi Oyeniyi, Directors, Deputy Directors and a host of others.
