Binani’s Declaration: PDP G-5 Governor Visits Fintiri
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Monday paid a solidarity visit to his Adamawa State counterpart, Ahmadu Fintiri over debacle about his re-election.
Makinde on visited Fintiri in Yola to express his displeasure over unending controversy about final declaration of winner of 2023 Adamawa governorship election.
Oyo Governor said the illegal declaration of the APC candidate as the winner of the election was unimaginable and a shame on the Resident Electoral Commissioner.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do the right thing and ensure that the decision of the people of Adamawa State is upheld.
According to him, the Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) who acted beyond his powers in illegally declaring a winner before the electoral process was concluded. I said that such people should have no place in positions of authority in Nigeria in the near future.
Recall that Fintiri is leading APC with over 31,000 votes before Adamawa REC announced Senator Aishatu Binani as winner without results.
FactualTimes reports that Makinde is one of the PDP G-5 Governors who worked against Atiku Abubakar, an indigene of Adamawa during 2023 Presidential election.
