Senator Oloriegbe Empowers 300 Constituents

 

About 300 constituents selected across the four Local Government Areas of the Kwara Central Senatorial district were on Saturday benefited from the routine empowerments under the Zonal intervention Project of the federal government as facilitated by Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe.

Speaking at the presentation of certificate and tools to the beneficiaries at the Niger Lower River Basin development authority Ilorin, *Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe* said the empowerment was focused on I.C.T training, hairdressing, cosmetology, catering amongst other skills acquisition program, noting the knowledge acquire in the week-long training exercise would further complement the beneficiary’s higher education especially using ICT efficiently to excel in their professional career.

Senator Oloriegbe who explained that he had earlier empowered youth in agric business through cassava processing training and distribution of exercise books and other writing materials to schools across his Constituency. He disclosed further that the empowerment program is geared towards reducing unemployment and other Social vices among youth.

He however appealed to #EndSars Protesters not to allow politicians to hijack the course, believing the government is doing everything humanly possible to reform Nigerian Police as an attempt to make it more Professional among the security apparatus in the country.

In his remark, the party Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Honourable Suleiman Tejini Commended Senator Oloriegbe’s foresight in the area of youth empowerment and expressed satisfaction over his performance, noting the entire constituency will forever remain grateful for his laudable milestones in the last one and half years of his senatorship.

Items distributed were laptops, Catering tools, Grinding Machine, Sewing Machine, Complete Cobbler Machine, and Complete hairdresser Machine.
