Speakership: CKNG Commends FactualTimes Publisher, Others For Supporting Kwara North Agenda
Biola Alanamu, Ilorin
The Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG) has commended FactualTimes Publisher, Oyewale Oyelola and other Social Justice activists that joined the advocacy for zoning of 9th Kwara State House of Assembly to northern senatorial district.
CKNG in a statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Musa Idris Buko and General Secretary, Comrade Mohammed Salihu said the emergence of Rt. Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi as Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker was ‘A Divine Touch For A New Dawn.’
According to the statement: ”This struggle cannot be complete without acknowledging the effort of some activists, especially, Comrade Oyewale Oyelola, who though; not of Kwara North extraction, supported and championed our advocacy, through his Online Media (FactualTimes) and others, due to his genuine interest, and the principles of equity, justice, and fairness for Kwara North. We pray God to reward him greatly. ”
The group commended the courage of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, who stood firm for Kwara North in the spirit of equity, justice and fairness.
They also appreciated APC Leadership and other lawmakers, especially those from Kwara North axis for supporting the new Speaker.
The statement read:
”We are overwhelmed with joy on the emergence of a Youthful Kwara Northerner as the Speaker of the 9th Kwara State Assembly. Not only is this a milestone in the political history of the State of Harmony, it has also handed the future to the youths, who we believe have a greater stake in the affairs of the State.
”To the newly elected Speaker, we implore him and the Members of the Ninth Assembly, to make the interest of the people and the Fear of God paramount in the discharge of their duty. They should also focus on citizens’ driven laws that will be participatory from onset, and impact on the accelerated growth and development of our communities. We equally appreciate the Honourable Members from Kwara North for supporting the emergence of a consensus candidate.”
In his reaction, FactualTimes Publisher Oyewale Oyelola said the group shocked him with their statement.
”I don’t really expect any commendation or appreciation for what we did during the advocacy for zoning of Speaker of 9th Assembly to Kwara. The likes of Abdulrasheed Akogun, Bolaji Aladie, Sheriff Gold, Comrade Bolakale, AbdulAzeez and others fought tirelessly for Kwara North through our media engagements.
”Glory be to God for crowning our efforts with good success. I advise the Rt Hon Danladi to be good ambassador of the youths in politics.”
