VICE CHANCELLOR REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARD IN KWASU

The Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, KWASU Prof AbdulRasheed Na’allah has reaffirmed the commitment of the university not only to sustain the mile stone achieved by the institution but also strive to surpass it and cover more grounds. The university administrator stated this recently while engaging the ‘Top-Up Students’ of the institution in an interactive session held in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

Prof Na’allah said the stakeholders in the ivory tower must be proud of the large ground so covered in the short period of its existence, stressing that the university has a major role to play in making impact in the Nigeria project. According to him, KWASU as young varsity has room to diversify but the standard set must not be allowed to diminish on the alter of carelessness. He noted that the institution is doing some fantastic things difficult for some big names in the education sector, therefore all hands must be on deck towards sustaining the momentum.

While noting that KWASU frown at any attempt to lower the standard already set, the university boss tasked the students to rededicate themselves to pure academic exercise. Prof Na’allah  who advised the students not to allow themselves to be oppressed by any lecturer under whatever  guise asked the students to personally assess the quality of the academic staff.

Students had a rare privilege to get first hand information on some issues germane to their programmes and welfare, especially, as relates to their tuition fee, and policy statements.
